A legal disclaimer

Island Hoop Group, LLC
Effective Date: 04/30/25

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern participation in the youth basketball camp (the “Camp”) operated by Island Hoop Group, LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of Massachusettes (“Island Hoop Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By registering a child for the Camp, the parent or legal guardian (“you,” “your,” or “Participant”) agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility

A completed registration form, waiver and full payment are required for participation. Island Hoop Group reserves the right to deny participation at its sole discretion. Liability waivers are completed in person, on the day of sign ups.

2. Registration and Payment

Camp registration is not complete until payment is received in full and confirmation is issued by Island Hoop Group. We reserve the right to deny participation to anyone who has not completed the registration process or paid in full.

3. Cancellations and Refunds
Refunds are available only for cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance of the Camp start date and time. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours before camp begins or for early withdrawals once the Camp is underway.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule Camp sessions due to inclement weather, facility issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, refunds or credits may be issued at our discretion.

4. Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge and accept that participation in basketball and related physical activities involves inherent risks of injury. By registering your child, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including injury, illness, and property loss.

5. Medical Authorization
In the event of an emergency where you cannot be reached, you authorize Island Hoop Group staff to obtain necessary emergency medical treatment for your child. You agree to bear all costs associated with such treatment.

6. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to behave respectfully, follow directions, and demonstrate good sportsmanship. Island Hoop Group reserves the right to remove any participant from the Camp due to unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

7. Media Release
By registering, you grant Island Hoop Group permission to photograph and record your child during Camp sessions. These images or recordings may be used in promotional materials, including but not limited to social media, websites, and printed materials, without compensation or further approval.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Island Hoop Group, LLC, its members, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising out of or in connection with participation in the Camp. Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the registration fee paid.

9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Island Hoop Group, LLC, its coaches, staff, members, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of your child’s participation in the Camp.

10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Massachusetts. Any disputes shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Dukes county, Massachusetts.

11. Severability
If any part of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.

By registering your child for Island Hoop Group, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
